QUESTION OF THE DAY
Building an institution is different from sustaining it. The only development worth taking on is a sustainable one.
The lesson of Gambia College is that students now require payment of D12000 per annum if they are to receive advanced diploma in teaching and D10000 for a diploma. Are these the sums that are to be paid by students in Basse? If so how will the sons and daughters of the farmers get education to teach their children?
We hope building educational infrastructure for teaching would be linked to access and affordability in terms of the farming community. If not the purpose for which they are established would be defeated.
