Will January 2020 Be A Month Of Protests

on

QUESTION OF THE DAY

The executive has been absent while movements of parties and civil groups prepare the ground for processions and demonstrations in January. All of a sudden President Barrow became the interim secretary general and leader of a political party. The APRC is also planning a demonstration for Jammeh’s return.

Foroyaa will find out whether three years jotna and five years jotagul have applied for permits to hold their processions. We will also find out whether President Barrow will commemorate his assumption of office on 19th January 2017.

January is a very significant month in the calendar. Just as 24th April 1970, the second republic also came into being on 17th January 1997. Young Gambians should take note of such developments.
