There seems to be football in the genes of the Bajahas as retiredAlieu Bajaha
Gambia national team goalkeeper Musa Bala Bajaha’s son turns
professional, Foroyaa Sport can report.
Alieu Bajaha, the eldest son of Musa Bajaha was all joy when he finallypenned professional contract with Swedish second tier outfit GAIS.
The deal, which sees the defensive midfielder make the leap from the
club U-19s to the senior squad, runs until December next year.
Posing with an unmistakable smile with hands on waist, the soon-to-be
19-year-old is the exact doppelganger of his footballer father.
He will be looking to follow if not surpass Bajaha senior’s
illustrious career which saw him unanimously voted the Swedish third
tier’s best goalkeeper thrice in a row.
Musa retired from Gambia duties immediately after guiding Gambia to a
goalless draw against Senegal in 2008.
While one Bajaha quits internationals with the Scorpions there could
soon be another shoved in through the door in the future.
