Gambia’s most in-demand goal-getter Ensa Njie is waiting on a call from Gambia’s national team coach Tom Saintfiet, Foroyaa Sport can reveal.
The left-sided striker has the best goal-per ratio in Spain scoring fifteen (15) goals in fourteen (14) league games.
Clubs both in an out of Canary Island are clamouring for his services despite insisting he is only focused on completing the season with his fourth tier table-topping Spanish club Trujillo.
While his level is in the lower echelon, Njie is the highest goal scoring Gambian in Europe this minute and expects to be summoned to Gambia national team’s next Africa Cup of Nations outing next year versus Gabon.
The Bundung-born turned professional about ten years ago after arriving in Spain having made the perilous sea journey by boat but first had his breakthrough in Latvia’s Premier league before his dramatic rise to the fore this campaign.
Should his be granted chance, the diminutively forward will have to vie with Lamin Jallow, Ali Sowe, Assan Ceesay, Musa Barrow, Nuha Marong, Yusupha Njie, Bubacarr Trawally, Baboucarr Jobe including Modou Barrow for starting place’s in Gambia’s rich attacking frontline.
