Gambia’s Women Team Beaten by Sierra Leone

By Sulayman Bah

Gambia’s women Scorpions yesterday evening endured a walloping to forget.

In what’s an ongoing Wafu cup competition being staged in Sierra Leone, Gambia took on Mali for a first game that ended in a nightmare.

Previous encounters before Gambia’s outing wrapped up with Sierra Leone drawing Cape Verde while Senegal humbled Guinea 1-0.
The Scorpions got trampled over with Mali scoring six times in a confirmed one-sided affair.

A hat-trick from Aguissa Diarra in the 34th , 46th and 57th minutes was added onto by Oumou Kone’s brace including a single effort from Senebu Sidibe enough to inflict damage.
