Gambia footballer Ali Sowe has been rendered unable to play after picking up a serious injury.Ali Sowe

Sowe sustained a wound while on a domestic league outing for club Modena against Trapani, a game he later had to be subbed thirty-minutes from time with team-mate Stancoas his replacement.

The Gambia international hobbled off in sheer pain and had to be hauled off after signaling to the technical bench he could no longer continue.

As a result of his abrasion, he is forced to miss four of Modena’s game with the lay-off expected to continue a little longer.

Upon enquiry, Sowe confirmed to Foroyaa Sport from his residence in Italy that he is out on the pitch peripheries with an injury.

His absence has seen coach Crespo’s club attack stutter with Modena winning one out of their last four matches.

Ali joined Modena this season from Serie A’s Chievo Verona to add to his development.

Starring eight times, the former Gamtel man is yet to score this campaign.

Modena are on a run of poor form fourth from the table basement on eighteen points out of eighteen games in the 22-team Italian second division.
