Gambia U-20s returned to action sashaying over Gambia Ports Authority in a friendly since their Wafu Wade Gambia U-20s returnedfiasco campaign two months ago.

It took goals from current league goal-poacher Pa Omar Babou to do the damage.

In an evening duel held at the King George mini-stadium, Banjul,Babou clattered home the opening goal with a perfectly slotted effort from the spot-kick after a Gambia Ports Authority defender handled in the box.

The Banjul United starlet made sure all the adulations went his way, doubling the score to the game beyond the Ferry Boys’ reach.

Modou Njie-Sarr grabbed a consolation goal but it was too little too late for domestic league table-topping Ports to launch a comeback.

The friendly was gaffer Omar Sise’s charges first return to action since their shambolic campaign in the Wade Cup in Dakar where they got disqualified over rule technicality coupled with their refusal to go into stipulated extra-time.
