By Saikou Suwareh Jabai Three fishing boats at the Kombo South settlement of Tanji fish landing site went missing for three days after they left the site for fishing on Thursday night. The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Gambia Fire and Rescue Services (GFRS), Mr. Muhammed Drammeh, confirmed the story. He was however quick to add that the three missing boats had reportedly landed in Senegal on a Saturday morning, around 11a.m., adding that the captains made calls to inform their relatives about their state that they’ve landed safely. PRO Drammeh added that due to the unfavourable weather condition of the sea at that time, the captains of the three aforesaid boats namely;Babucarr Ndure, Alagie Senghore and Momodou Lamin Seine, deemed it safe to proceed to the nearest landing site in Senegal than come back to their landing site in Tanji. Efforts were made to find out the total number of the fishermen in the boats but this could not be accessed by the rescue services at the time of going to press.]]>
