By Sulayman Bah Gambia winger Sainey Nyassi could be on his way out of RoPS after the end of his contract. The Bwaim-born Gambia international signed a short term deal to join Finnish Premier League outfit RoPS having impressed after a try-out following his release by DC United of the Major League Soccer in June. However, the 25-year-old’s contract is up with no reports of a talk over a renewal. It was hoped he’ll be offered an improved extension deal after impressing enough making nineteen appearances scoring four times in his debut in European football. With negotiation with the club board looking unlikely, the ex-Gambia Ports Authority man will hope his last term input will be enough to earn him a decent club either in Finland for another season or elsewhere. The midfielder that last featured for the senior Scorpions in 2010, turned professional in 2007 with MLS club Newengland Revolution whose fancies he caught during the U-20 World Cup in Canada while playing for the Gambia. In another development, Dawda Ngum, an uncapped Gambia player who had recently parted ways with Trelleborg of the Swedish third tier on controversial circumstances, has secured himself a new club in BK Hollviken. ]]>
