Manduwar has finally revived his career after suffering a sudden defeat to wrestler France that almost battered his reputation in the arena.
Club Jeff Jel juggernaut rose to the occasion when it mattered, making a light work of a much hyped Jokardo.
In a contest that did not start till the chill descended on the Wellingara field, both wrestlers paced up and down ostentatiously before the referee’s whistle was blown.
Manduwar and Jokardo marched into the circle after end of the undercard bouts amid cacophony as drummers’ regiment of drums went frenzy.
The two tangled from start grabbing each other’s smalls before Manduwar tucked his leg between a retreating Jokardo’s to throwing him crashing on all fours.
In a recent related but separate occurrence, Gambia Wrestling Association has stripped a SK Mbolloh’s Building of victory belt handing it to his opponent Boy Balla.
The move follows after the GWA reviewed an appeal by Boy Balla contesting the referee’s decision to declare Building winner in a highly controversial duel.
The judgment understandably left Building and his camp fuming and Boy Balla’s camp on the other hand delighted.
