By Sulayman Bah Real de Banjul yesterday managed to close the gap to two points with leaders Gamtel Brikama ensured Realafter thrashing Interior 2-1 thanks to Yankuba Jarju’s brace. Victory over police outfit Interior in one of their two rescheduled games in hand shoots the defending champions to second position ahead of Bombada.Real got off to a flying start with in-form striker Yankuba Jarju rifling in the opening goal from an Ebrima Sidibeh’s assist after twenty-three minutes ticked in the first-half. Jarjue should have doubled the score had he not tapped the ball over the cross bar when team-mate Sam Gibba coaxed his marker to find his way in Interior’s half. But the match wasn’t a one-way traffic as Interior soon found the back of the net from a Khalifa Jarra’s header from a corner. Resumption of play saw Yankuba who was making most of his newfound scoring boot in the face of striker Madi Fatty’s dip form, nestled the ball into the back of the net with Ebrima Sidibeh again turning provider.
