who are elected on the ticket of the ruling Party often appear very vulnerable to expulsion from the APRC by the President. Those expelled have never taken up the challenge of contesting as Independent candidates. Hence they have never made the attempt to test their own popularity. The latest victim is the National Assembly member for Lower Saloum, who was expelled from the party even though he was helping the image of the party by showing a tendency to speak his mind.
