Former IGP’S Civil Suit Stalled

The Civil suit involving Banta Jaiteh, Ensa EK Badgie, Pa Ousman Bojang, Kutubo Ceesay and the plaintiff Ensa Badgie, the former IGP, yesterday proceeded at the Brikama High Court.

When the case was called, Sheriff Tambadou announced his presence for the first defendant Kutubo Ceesay, while the defense Counsel for the second and third defendants (Banta Jaiteh and Ensa EK Badgie), Pa Harry Jammeh was absent. Lawyer Borry S Touray, Counsel for the plaintiff was absent, but represented by Mary Samba. The fourth defendant, Pa Ousman Bojang is said to be out of the jurisdiction.

Shortly after the case started, Lawyer Mary Samba applied for an adjournment on the grounds that she was holding brief for Lawyer Borry S Touray, who was having other cases at the Banjul High Court

Consequently, the presiding magistrate, Justice Oga, adjourned the case to Monday 6th January 2018, at 10:00AM for continuation.
