By Sulayman Bah Gambian player Kristian Brix has been left disenchanted after aKristian Brix protracted negotiation with his club over an improved contract extension failed, Foroyaa Sport can report. Brix joined Norwegian Premier League outfit Bodo Glmit last season ona two-year deal doing very well in his first spell in helping to tight up the club’s backline. And by way of rewarding the 25-year-old’s contribution the previous campaign, the club has been locked in talks with the player’s representatives and it was hoped he will be offered a revised contract. Negotiations have been on and it was believed an agreement will be finalized soon before a dramatic turn of events saw the deal bit the brick walls. Disagreement over wages, this paper understands, is behind the stalled talks. ‘We negotiated for a long period, but we unfortunately did not come to a consensus. That’s where we are now. I think it’s a shame. I’ll now just play for Glimt till end of the season,’ the Gambian fumes. The erstwhile Sandefjord captain has five months left of his initial two-year deal but intends to reopen discussions with Bodo’s club board with the hope to stay put. Brix, who was among invited players for Gambia-South Africa match but could not turn up after his club refused him leave, is sidelined with a groin problem and wouldn’t return to the field until next week. Kristian has been a crucial cog in Bodo’s team utilized either as a central midfielder or left back role.]]>
